Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese martial art that promotes health development. We have beginner and intermediate courses in Tai Chi. The slow, gentle and tranquil movements of Tai Chi enable harmony in mind and body.

Our Tai Chi master of over two decades describes what students will gain by undertaking this course: “Students improve their balance, flexibility, strength and coordination both physically and mentally. They learn to relax and de-stress. They learn to focus on the here-and-now. They learn self-respect and respect for others. They learn about supporting each other. They learn how to laugh and how to accept themselves and each other for what they are. Essentially, the students experience a warm and caring environment where they can learn to master the arts of Tai Chi and Qigong”.

Everyone is welcome to try our Tai Chi – Beginners class and we can support students that do not have the range of movement or motion.

Course fees

ACFE and fee-for-service fees are paid per course, in full, prior to course commencement. In situations of financial hardship, students can apply to training@bridge.org.au. Subsidised course fees are available for students who are ACFE-eligible. To be eligible for ACFE funding you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident. Concession price is available for pension and healthcare-card holders for government-funded programs (ACFE). A seniors card is also accepted for non-funded programs. If enrolling online, your concession/pension/seniors card must be presented at our office prior to commencement.

Refunds

There are no refunds for missed classes. If you wish to withdraw from a course, you must notify us at least five working days before the course begins in order to obtain a refund. Notification of withdrawal must be made in writing and addressed to training@bridge.org.au. A refund will be made less a $50 administration charge.

On-site child care is available to support parents/grandparents studying at the Bridge – fees may apply. Free child care is provided for students attending ACFE-funded classes, subject to availability and eligibility.
